Important game to mention about took place in Beograd. Second ranked SerbianMega BG (4-8) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed Austrian BC Vienna (2-9) 100-98 on Monday evening. Mega BG made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Mega BG outrebounded Vienna 41-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Mega BG players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Vienna was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Bogoljub Markovic stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Savo Drezgic (193-2006, college: Georgia) chipped in 21 points and 7 assists. At the losing side American-Guinean guard Souley Boum (190-1999, college: Xavier) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Slovenian-Austrian center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-1990) scored 12 points and 8 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Mega BG keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Zadar. Vienna lost eighth consecutive game.
